Electric in Peru

Tuesday, October 07 2014, 05:15 PM
I am visiting Peru in the New Year and obviously would like to have some photos / videos to bring home with me.
Can anyone tell me what system is used and would I need an adaptor to charge a cell phone / camera?

      Hi Steve,

you haven't mentioned where you are from.

Remember Peru has 220V / 60Hz. So check the charger of your camera, laptop, phone, etc. Most will work with any voltage between 110V and 240V with a frequency of 50Hz to 60Hz. If yours not you need a voltage converter. Most outlets in Peru accept plugs with 2 round and the 2 flat pins.
